Rev. Dr. Eugen Pentiuc Published in Romania

The Romanian translation of Rev. Dr. Eugen Pentiuc’s book The Old Testament in Eastern Orthodox Tradition has just been released by Renasterea Press. First published by Oxford University Press in 2014, the book is one of many important works by Fr. Pentiuc, Archbishop Demetrios Professor of Biblical Studies and Christian Origins at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. The official launch of the translation took place on April 18 at the Gaudeamus International Book Fair in Cluj, Romania, Fr. Pentiuc’s native country. The presenters were Metropolitan Andrei of Cluj and Professor Ioan Chirila, President of the Senate at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj. The University, the largest in Romania, will present an honorary doctorate to Fr. Pentiuc at a special ceremony in November as part of its centennial celebration.
