  • FR. CALIVAS RECEIVES HONORARY DOCTORATE FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF ATHENS

    Rev. Dr. Alkiviadis Calivas, Professor Emeritus of Liturgics at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology and past President of HCHC, was recently awarded an honorary doctorate by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The honor was bestowed upon the unanimous recommendation of the faculty of the Department of Social Theology and Religious Studies of the University's School of Theology and by the unanimous consent of the Senate and Chancellor of the University.   • REV. DR. JOHN CHRYSSAVGIS TO HEAD HUFFINGTON ECUMENICAL INSTITUTE AT HCHC

    Rev. Dr. John Chryssavgis, Archdeacon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, has been appointed the first Executive Director of the Huffington Ecumenical Institute at Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, effective September 1.     Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology conducted its 81st Commencement exercises on Saturday, May 20, 2023. The day began with Orthros and Archieratical Divine Liturgy in Holy Cross Memorial Chapel with His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America as celebrant. Commencement itself followed in the Maliotis Cultural Center Theater.   • FIRST HCHC VOCATIONS RETREAT “BE ATTENTIVE” A GREAT SUCCESS

    Twenty-one men from across North America took part in a first-of-its-kind vocations retreat called “Be Attentive” on the campus of Hellenic College Holy Cross from March 16-18.
